Text: Psalm 19:7-9
- “The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul”
- Some are not interested in having their soul revived, trans-formed, converted—if so, they probably are not interested in the Bible.
- The key to this transformation is the Lord Jesus Christ.
- “The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple”
- “Sure” – absolute, trustworthy, reliable.
- The Bible can make a “simple” person wise.
- “The precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart”
- The Bible sets out a right path, lays out a right track.
- “Blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it” (Lk. 11:28)
- “The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes”
- The Bible makes things clear to us that are not clearly seen by others.
- We can see hope, where others see only despair.
- “The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever”
- The only things that endure forever are things untouched by sin.
- There is one thing that never changes—the eternal Word of God.
- “The rules of the Lord are true, and righteous altogether”
- Do you know how hard it is to find something true and righteous today?
- People find it easy to lie because they are fed up trying to find truth—yet truth has been available all along in God’s Word.
- The Bible is the answer!
