Godly Principles For Life (1 Chron. 28:9-10) Encourages us all to live by the Godly principles that David would encourage his son, Solomon to live by. |
Godly Principles For Life (1 Chron. 28:9-10)
- Know God Personally
- More than just knowing there is a God; but personally seek to know Him.
- As parents introduce your children to God and as individuals seek Him out, learn about Him (1 Kings 8:26; 2 Tim. 1:5, 3:14-16; John 17:3; Acts 17:23; 1 John 2:3-4).
- Obey God Purposefully
- Will not happen accidentally; devote yourself God.
- Wholly and completely from the heart (Matt. 4:10, 6:24; Mark 12:30; Col. 3:1-3); willingly (Col. 3:3; Gal. 2:20; Phil. 3:7; Ps. 1:-2, 40:8).
- Can’t be faked (1 Sam. 16:7; Ps. 139:1-4; Heb. 4:12-13).
- Seek God Persistently
- Don’t ever quit for He will be found (Heb. 11:6).
- He desires all to serve Him, but it is our choice (1 Tim. 2:4; Matt .11:28).
- He can be found (Acts 17:27; 1 Pet. 3:12).
- We will be blessed in seeking Him, cut off if we don’t (Matt. 7:21; Rom. 2:6-8; 2 Thess. 1:8-9).
- Trust God Perseveringly
- Solomon did great things in life; there is no telling all we can accomplish.
- Watch your steps, order them according to God’s will, don’t stray (1 Tim. 4:16; Eph. 5:15; Heb. 3:12; 1 Pet. 5:8)
- Be strong and do it (Eph. 6:10; Deut. 31:6)
