The God of My Salvation (Isaiah 12)
We considered last week that we are the church, the called out; now consider what such a realization should drive us to do…
- The Salvation of God
- Salvation made possible by God (Ex. 15:2; Eph. 1:7, 1 John 1:7; John 3:16).
- We see His faithfulness and forgiveness (2 Pet. 3:9; 2 Cor. 1:20; Heb. 10:16-22; 1 Cor. 6:11).
- We place our trust in Him (Heb. 3:19-4:2; 2 Tim. 1:12; Heb. 13:5-6).
- The abundant salvation brings joy (Phil. 4:4; John 4:10, 13-14; 7:37-38).
- Will Bring About Worship
- The redeemed of God should say so (Ps. 107:1-3)
- Praise God – give thanks to Him (Col. 3:17; 1 Thess. 5:18; Phil. 4:6).
- Call upon His name (Ps. 50:15; Rom. 10:13).
- Sing unto Him (Isa. 42:10; Rev. 5:9-10)
- And Inspire Us To Work
- Desire to spread this news (Isa. 6:8)
- Declare His doings (John 4:39-42; Mark 16:15; Acts 8:4)
- Proclaim that his name is exalted (Ps. 111:9; Acts 17:23ff)
- Cry/shout out for joy (Heb. 12:22, 28; 1 Pet. 3:15; Ps. 105:1-4)
